Job role:
We are looking for a highly motivated and results-driven Business Development Manager to join our team. The Business Development Manager will be responsible for identifying new business opportunities, developing, and implementing growth strategies, and building strong relationships with clients to drive revenue growth and expand our market presence.
Responsibilities:
- Identify and research potential new business opportunities, including new markets, industries, and clients, to drive growth and expansion.
- Develop and implement strategic business development plans and initiatives to achieve sales targets and objectives, in collaboration with senior management and other stakeholders.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with existing and prospective clients, key decision-makers, and industry influencers to understand their needs and position our products or services effectively.
- Conduct market research and analysis to identify trends, opportunities, and threats within the industry and develop strategies to capitalize on market dynamics.
- Prepare and deliver compelling sales presentations, proposals, and pitches that effectively communicate the value proposition and competitive advantages of our products or services.
- Negotiate contract terms and agreements with clients, including pricing, payment terms, and service-level agreements, to secure new business opportunities and drive revenue growth.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including marketing, product development, and customer support, to ensure alignment of business development efforts with overall business objectives and customer needs.
- Stay informed about industry trends, competitive landscape, and emerging technologies to maintain a competitive edge and identify new business opportunities.
- Track and analyze sales performance, pipeline activity, and market trends to identify areas for improvement and make data-driven decisions to optimize business development strategies.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in business administration, Marketing, or a related field; master’s degree or professional certification (MBA) is a plus.
- Proven experience as a Business Development Manager or similar role, with a track record of successfully driving business growth and achieving sales targets.
- Strong understanding of sales and marketing principles, techniques, and best practices, with the ability to develop and implement effective business development strategies.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport and establish trust with clients, colleagues, and stakeholders at all levels.
- Strong negotiation and persuasion skills, with the ability to influence decision-makers and close deals effectively.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyse complex data and market information to identify opportunities and drive informed decision-making.
- Knowledge of industry trends, market dynamics, and competitive landscape in relevant industries or markets.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and CRM software.
